The cheers and jubilation about Judge Sotomayor’s vote from the Judiciary Committee of the Senate were amazing. Everybody was proud to be a Wise Latina. Then the conversation begun when I started asking: What does it mean for you to be a Wise Latina?

Now that Justice Sotomayor has been confirmed and sworn in, the conversation continues with a focus on how to get there. Many of us have had some help along the way to get where we are.

If there is somebody like a teacher, or some organization, or a book, or a service, or a religious leader, or even a municipal service that made your life easier please share it with us so we learn from each other.
