This book discusses the obstacles that Latinas face as well as the benefits that come along due to their ethnicity. By including first-hand stories of Latinas, Rosie manages to help readers relate to at least one of the women featured in this book. When I was reading Hijas Americanas, I felt like it was written especially for me because I could find at least one thing I had in common with the Latinas included in this book.
