I want to honor Renee Gilbeert-Levin, from DePaul School for New learning. She helped, encouraged, and and put gentle pressure on me to finish my undergraduate degree, which I did when I was in my 40s. I owe her a lot. Thanks Renee!

I recommend the Chicago Abortion Fund:
http://chicagoabortionfund.org. They make choice possible. They help low income women obtain safe abortion services by providing clinic referrals, negotiated discounts and financial assistance. They believe all women should have the same access to freedom of choice, regardless of their income level.

I would like to recommend a great book that I came across a few weeks ago, Hijas Americanas by Rosie Molinary. This book discusses the obstacles that Latinas face as well as the benefits that come along due to their ethnicity. By including first-hand stories of Latinas, Rosie manages to help readers relate to at least one of the women featured in this book. When I was reading Hijas Americanas, I felt like it was written especially for me because I could find at least one thing I had in common with the Latinas included in this book.
